These checklists were prepared to assist researchers while preparing a research project that is compliant with the Access and Benefit Sharing system

These checklists contain the various elements that may feature in the Prior Informed Consent and Mutually Agreed Terms, including the benefits to be shared. They are as comprehensive and complete as possible, therefore not all of the elements mentioned have to be included in your negotiations and contracts. The latter should be adapted to your specific research project in cooperation with the resource providers. Contact your institution's technology transfer unit or legal service department for support in the drafting of contracts.
